Meet me in Salt Lake City

The week of April 8 through April 12, I will be in Salt Lake City at the annual April Salt Lake City Family History Library Retreat 2013 sponsored by Family History Expos. Attendees at the Retreat will have an entire week of instruction and guided research at the Family History Library. Here is the lineup of those who will be presenting classes and helping with research guidance:

Russell C. Bangerter, BA : Has a BA in Family History, he specializes in finding and preserving a family's unique history. Russell is President of Ancestral Connections, Inc. as well as an author and speaker. He is the genealogy blogger for Deseret News and an advisor to Treasured Souls to Keep, LLC.
Arlene H. Eakle, Ph.D. : President and founder of The Genealogical Institute, Inc., Dr. Eakle is a professional genealogist with more than 30 years’ experience in research, consulting, lecturing, and writing. An expert in tracing families from New York, Southern U.S., British Isles, Switzerland, and parts of Germany, she claims a 96% success rate.

Sharon D. Monson : The founder of 'GenSearch and more,' an author, and frequent conference presenter. She has extensive research experience in courthouses, the Family History Library, and repositories spanning 30+ years. Her class presentations cover a wide range of research methods, useful tips, source document locations and unusual resources.


James L. Tanner : Has a B.A. Degree in Spanish, an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from the University of Utah, and a J.D. Degree in Law from Arizona State University. He has 37 years experience as a trial attorney in Arizona. He also has over 30 years experience in genealogical research and is the author of The Guide to FamilySearch Online. He is an avid Blogger and his genealogy blog, Genealogy's Star is on of the top genealogy blogs in the US. He has been a presenter at a number of Expos and Conferences. He is the former owner of a retail computer business and Apple Macintosh software company. James is the social media coordinator at Family History Expos.
