Daughters of Utah Pioneers Oral History Project

The Utah North Company of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers are sponsoring an oral history project in the area of Alpine and Highland, Utah. The goal of the project is to record and preserve the fast experiences of Alpine and Highland residents. Quoting from their brochure:
The daughters of Utah Pioneers Utah North company is the facilitating entity for Project: Oral History. Our goal is to preserve the oral history of our community, before it is too late. We present this project with the backing of the Boy Scouts of America, the Utah National Parks Council, Brigham Young University  Special Collections as the repository and International Daughters of Utah Pioneers. We are encouraging all church, residents, businesses, schools – basically the entire community to join in the project.
The Utah North company has created a guide that takes the mystery out of capturing oral history. This free guide can be viewed page by page online on their website or it can be downloaded. Young men can interview neighbors, employees, or even their own relatives as Eagle Scout projects or service hours. Ideas for projects are found in the guide. See Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
