Ancestry.co.uk has a couple...How I agree with you! Ancestry.co.uk has a couple of trees which give the parents of my great-grandmother Maria Rawcliffe as Robert Rawcliffe and Catherine Whiteside. I have Maria's birth certificate giving her mother as Jane Carr and I also have Robert and Jane's marriage certifcate. They had 8 daughters, none of whom were named Catherine, which would seem surprising in itself. Robert remarried when Jane died, but that was to an Elizabeth and I have that certifcate too. I e-mailed the submitters to ask where there information had come from - but never got a reply. The problem is mistakes get magnified as people copy from them. Thank you for reinformcing the issue.
