It is hard to understand how someone did not catch that simple error just by LOOKING AT the information already there. As it turned out, the 2nd marriage was legitimate except the wife's name was only partly correct--I had to delete the marriage and marry poor Louis to the right wife. In addition, the husband and incorrect wife were living more than 50 km apart in Canada in 1798.
