It's interesting to see migration through Australia and onwards.

You definitely qualify as a cobber, though as Jill says, the "mate" term is used more frequently these days. It's a shame to see some of these old Aussie colloquialisms fading into oblivion which is why the meme was rather more obscure than would sometimes be the case.

Also apologies for not realising you'd posted -as you probably know I follow your blog faithfully, just not always as promptly as I'd like.

PauleenCassmob (Pauleen)https://www.blogger.com/profile/18397134336319778519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-34099952602522272422014-01-22T23:42:29.345-07:002014-01-22T23:42:29.345-07:00Thanks for sharing informative blog.if you want mo...Thanks for sharing informative blog.if you want more information then visit online casual teachers in australia Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15412337988248173483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-35153526415282939182014-01-22T23:35:21.157-07:002014-01-22T23:35:21.157-07:00what is GENEALOGY anyway?what is GENEALOGY anyway?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01054287305006642013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-66110616458901413652014-01-22T22:11:06.710-07:002014-01-22T22:11:06.710-07:00Thanks for publicising our Aussie Geneameme, James...Thanks for publicising our Aussie Geneameme, James. You are most definitely a cobber although we tend to use the term 'Mate' more generally..

For those who don't know about Australian Royalty - these are our convict ancestors. Years ago our ancestors hid their convict connections but today we are proud to be descended from Aussie Royalty (I have ten direct Royal ancestors).GeniAushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09074874999181040071noreply@blogger.com
