I confess to having started out with an almost fatal case of the disease but am slowly recovering. I've spent many hours and much money putting together the information I formed into a family tree and it's that effort I want to have respected, but I must accept that some people will never do that. So, I'm in the process of cleaning up a tree I currently have online (that's a whole other itis to be discussed at another time!) and expect to share my conclusions soon. So, thank you for this article and I promise to work very hard toward living this reality.Lynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01849383904293049980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-80146810803193231182014-06-10T18:30:01.203-07:002014-06-10T18:30:01.203-07:00Well, then we have two different problems. They want us that do the work to share what we have unearthed and yet they won't do the same. This sadden's me because alot of the time what they won't share is the missing puzzle piece.<br />Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11723246685014424785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-42282259790537931292014-06-10T08:54:21.762-07:002014-06-10T08:54:21.762-07:00I certainly agree. I have the pictures but I don't own them. I could keep them safe and boxed away so no one could copy them but that thought is foreign to me. Instead I believe the more I share, the better it is for all of us. Thank you for this post. But how can I own my grandmother's birth date or even the story of her moving from OH to NY? I thought that one of the reasons we gather this information is to spread it to others.Colleen G.
