I have a little compact suitcase, full of a woman's partial life story, from the 1910's to 1950's I was always fascinated by her being a school teacher and having the income to buy impounded properties during the great depression, for as little as $1.00. The story tells, she did quite well, as the economy picked up. I hope to one day reunite this to her younger generationsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05608751575986305011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-56788422325342564802017-01-01T15:31:49.207-07:002017-01-01T15:31:49.207-07:00I Love Wikitree! I wish I knew of these connections earlier, I am finding a Grandfather and or Grandmother and having alot of fun reading about History.....Thanks too all!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05608751575986305011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-89291793163697350082014-02-14T11:34:31.420-07:002014-02-14T11:34:31.420-07:00James,

A woman in Ireland who purchased vintage postcards addressed to my 2nd great-grandaunt contacted me because my tree is on WikiTree. I now have a new friend in Ireland, and over 50 of these precious Engle Family postcards from the early 1900s.

I want to let you know that three of your your blog posts are listed in my Fab Finds post today at http://janasgenealogyandfamilyhistory.blogspot.com/2014/02/follow-friday-fab-finds-for-february-14.html

Have a wonderful weekend!Jana Iverson Lasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07687969613629975601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1527613590529958801.post-74751663966985106622014-02-12T09:01:57.440-07:002014-02-12T09:01:57.440-07:00Thank you, James. They're not going away any time soon. FamilySearch's GEDCOM-X model, when it settles down, may be an important contribution to the data exchange problem. We're going to keep working on that here at WikiTree.Chris Whittenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11777672504508276652noreply@blogger.com
