They focus so much on the HOW and neglect the why algotether, leaving the student confused, bored, and resentful. How much better it would be if the curricula included having the teacher explain WHY we do it that way, talking about formulating a hypothesis or a thesis statement, and then testing to see if the data support the hypothesis or thesis.
