Countdown to the Mesa Family History Expo

It was about 80 degrees here today in Mesa, Arizona. It is usually in the 70s during January. Not warm enough to go swimming in an unheated pool, but really nice to be outside. We have had both doors and windows open the last few days. This is, of course, leading up to the Mesa Family History Expo. This will be my second year attending as a Blogger of Honor and my first year as a presenter. I will be presenting a class on Ancestry.com for Experienced Users and another on HeritageQuest Online for Beginners.

Last year, I really enjoyed being a Blogger of Honor, more particularly because I was relatively new to the Blogging world and I was interested to meet other Bloggers. I also enjoyed the classes so there was a minor conflict between spending time talking to the Bloggers and trying to attend classes. All of the classes last year were good, but some of them were outstanding and worth the whole price of admission, except as a Blogger of Honor I didn't have to pay to get in.

This year, with additional experience, I will have more people that I already know and I am looking forward to talking to everybody. If you come to the Expo, please take time to say hello and talk to me about what kinds of posts you would like me to write about.

Thanks to Amy Coffin and Holly Hansen for their patience with me. I got distracted and was almost too late in signing on and getting a syllabus for my classes. They were kind to give me a reminder.

Here is the info on the Expo:

  2. James, we are so fortunate to have you as a speaker and Blogger of Honor. You have so much genealogy knowledge; we're pleased you will share it with our Expo attendees. Looking forward to seeing you in Mesa!
