Here's today's mystery photos. Some of the people look familiar and I might be able to track them down, but how about some background? These photos were taken by my Great-grandmother, Margaret Godfrey Jarvis Overson in around 1920, most likely in Apache County, Arizona. The one of the two children, one standing and one sitting, were obviously a copy of an earlier photo. My daughter, Amy, in her blog,
TheAncestorFiles.blogspot.com, has been helpful in identifying some of the photos.
#1 I haven't pulled out any pictures to compare, but that looks like the Overson mantle, and that looks like one of the twins, so it could be one of her sons.
ReplyDelete#4 Also looks like a twin, so it's probably also one of her sons.
The last one is Ross's first (?) wife.
And, thanks for the "shout-out"! : )
Hello, I am your relative...Margaret Ritchie. I am Marion Peter Overson's daughter who was named after Margaret Jarvis Overson. I found your site after stumbling upon Amy's.
ReplyDeleteI knew your father very well. He visited our home often and visited me at my law office. I was at his funeral. I have dozens and dozens of pictures of him. Thanks for writing.
