If you look carefully at the links, you will see that the only difference between the link in English, Spanish or Portuguese is the language designation:
  • en = English
  • sp = Spanish
  • pt = Portuguese

Visual links to the Portuguese language version of the Family Tree Training Lessons are in the process of being added to the website. Presently, you can view the lessons through the links.

If you are trying to used the FamilySearch.org Family Tree and not familiar with this series of lessons developed by Leland Moon, you should be. This is an extremely valuable resource and is readily available in the Learning Center on FamilySearch.org.

  1. Elder Moon has done a fantastic job creating this training and working night and day to keep it up-to-date with the changes. One of the best things about this training is the Sandbox FT database he created with fictitious data. Everyone in a classroom can have a different account, but the data is similar enough that a teacher can tell the class members which record to click on and what action to take, so they can all keep together and know they are learning correct principles and actions. If anyone is trying to teach the ins and outs of Family Tree to several folks at the same time, this is a valuable teaching tool. Check it out.

  2. One of the best things about Elder Moon's training site is the Sandbox Family Tree database, with fictitious data. A teacher can teach a whole classroom who to use Family Tree very easily, with each student on his own Sandbox account. Each account is unique, but has similar data so a teacher can have everyone in the same place. It is a great teaching tool.
