The comments made on blog posts are interesting. Fortunately, the genealogical community is mostly civil and well reasoned. Reading online comments can be an adventure in irrationality and bad language. But I seldom get such comments to my posts. As a rule, they are welcomed and helpful. For this I am thankful.
Some of the most interesting comments I get are from the ubiquitous "Anonymous." From some of the comments, it is easy to see why there are no names associated. There are political and employment reasons that readers of this blog might not want their name associated with the content. Not that I am in any way controversial, its just that sensibilities today are such that it is not a good idea to become too visible in the marketplace if you are working for certain employers.
Wait a minute, I just re-read that last paragraph. I guess I am just a tiny bit controversial on occasion, but that can't be helped. Well, anyway I just wanted to thank all those anonymous commentators for their contribution since I don't know who you are and can't thank you in person. Keep on keeping me on the straight and narrow.
