The BYU Family History Library is located in the Lee Library and is part of its organization. The Family History Libary Director, Terry Dahlin, is a Senior Librarian and the Family History Librarian. He works in the Department of Religion and Family History. The BYU Family History Library is staffed by full-time employees of the University and part-time Student employees. There are also approximately 130 part-time volunteers who also assist and serve in the BYU Family History Library most of whom are Church Service Missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My wife and I are two of those volunteers.
The BYU Family History Library YouTube Channel videos are produced by the BYU Family History Library staff with the assistance of student employees. Those who are creating the presentations and webinars are, for the most part, associated with the University or are some of the Church Service Missionary volunteers. However, invitations to present webinars are also extended to others in the genealogical community. The introduction to each of the webinars identifies the presenter. The shorter videos are produced primarily to train and educate the volunteers serving in the Library, but we have decided to share them all with the greater genealogical community.
