Become a new wiki contributor or invite a friend to become a new wiki
contributor and you both could win $100 to help with your holiday
shopping! The FamilySearch Research Wiki is always looking to grow the wiki contributor team and they
need your help to do it.
Here’s how it works: invite a friend or family member to
contribute fresh, new content somewhere on the FamilySearch Research
Wiki between November 9 and December 9, 2011. Then, they will submit
their name and the name of the person that referred them here on this wiki page. New contributors that are not referred by a
friend are also eligible to enter the contest if they register as a new
contributor and submit new content to the Research Wiki between
November 9 and December 9, 2011.
The Wiki Support Team will choose a new contributor at random and that person and
the person that referred them (maybe you!) will each win a $100 Visa
gift card. Additionally, they will choose another new contributor at
random that was not referred by a friend, but that joined all on their own, to receive a $100 Visa gift card.
Winners of the contest will be notified following the end of the
contest and their prizes sent to them in time for all that holiday
shopping!
Interesting. To whom was this announced and by what means? For example, for months I have not received the emails I used to get as a wiki contributor. Had I known of the contest I probably would more concertedly have contacted several persons who I already suggested should contribute to the wiki based on their particular knowledge.
