Virgin Islands Families Searchable Database

Sometimes a surprise comes along. This was the case with finding this Virgin Islands Families Searchable Database. I realize that the Virgin Islands can't seem too valuable to genealogists generally, but there are a lot of people in the United States that can trace their origins to the Islands.

This searchable site is a work in progress created by renowned historian/archivist and professor emeritus at the University of Delaware. The site has a comprehensive collection of the history of those individuals and their families, who lived in the Virgin Islands. A document follows the patrilineal (father's) line of the family..... carrying the surname (family name).

The database is located on the The Virgin Islands Public Library System website. Here is a screenshot of the website:
