The video showed the app running on an Android device. Most of the previous apps that have been introduced have been designed for iOS devices. Nothing was said about porting the app to Apple's iOS for iPad or iPhone. The Family History Partner Products page for FamilySearch.org presently shows the following mobile apps:
Family Seek for Android, iOS
✓ iLived for iOS✓ LegacyMobile for iOS✓ MobileFamilyTree for iOS✓ BillionGraves for Android, iOS RootsMagic for iOS.
The little icons on the page show the degree of connectivity and the level of certification. The check marks indicate programs that are Family Tree Certified. I have used several of these apps and find them to be very useful but, of course, limited from the full programs' capabilities.

James,
ReplyDeleteThis new Family Tree app looks pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this info. I want to let you know that three of your blog posts are listed in today's Fab Finds post at http://janasgenealogyandfamilyhistory.blogspot.com/2013/10/follow-friday-fab-finds-for-october-4.html
Have a wonderful weekend!
Any idea when this will be available?
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard it mentioned since that time. I think they are probably waiting until New.FamilySearch.org finally is separated from Family Tree. I have a new post on the apps and other Certified Programs.
