- RootsMagic is Now Share+ Certified by FamilySearch (which for one thing means you can now view and copy sources between RootsMagic and FamilySearch).
- On June 30th, RootsMagic (and other products) will no longer be able to write to the (old) "New FamilySearch" site.
You will notice also that the cutoff date for the old programs sharing data with New.FamilySearch.org is 30 June 2013, less than ten days away. It is very likely that there will be a lot of genealogists out there that will have a rude surprise after that date that their programs no longer work until they obtain an update.
FamilySearch lists its certified products on a Family History Products page. That page is actually on the FamilySearch.org website. You can click through to the page by going to the very bottom of the startup page and then clicking on the "About" link. You will then see a link to "Products" that has a list of the most recently certified products in different categories. There is also a prominent note about the cutoff of access to New.FamilySearch.org. The big question, as yet not publicly answered, is when public access to New.FamilySearch.org will be cut off, not just access through third parties.
