OK, I have a serious problem today. My browsers have all been hacked into some script. The language shows up as English, but the script all looks like this:
Anyone out there have a suggestion? I don't have time to work on this right now. It doesn't seem to show up on my computer at all, but it does show up on both Chrome and FireFox. Click on the image above to get a larger view.

I haven't seen this before but you may want to run Malawarebytes in safemode, just to be safe.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a Java infection to me James. I have seen spoof java upgrades before that have hooked into its class libraries. Malwarebytes worked for me.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened last week in South Africa at the Mandela on Worldwide TV. But I thought the sign translator made as much sense as the speaker.
DeleteI just saw your comment in Google+ about it appearing on all machines. If it's directly affecting your blogger account then it could have been hacked, or it could be some link in one of your posts that's doing more than it should do. Does it only happen on one page? Is it a publicly visible page?
DeleteAnother possibility is something has caused a font or codepage swap. Definitely scan as the others have suggested.
ReplyDeleteThe odd thing is that it only shows up in Blogger and no other program on Google. It also does not affect the blog posts only all of the Blogger menu items. The link idea may be the problem.
ReplyDeleteI have determined that the substituted script is still in English but is Ethiopian script. Interesting. There is probably an embedded HTML code.
DeleteI was thinking Hindu or Thai.
